THIS IS AN ACTIVE TOUR. A moderate level of fitness is required to participate in scheduled activities. 




A $200.00 per person, non-refundable deposit is required when booking, with final payment due by 20th July 2019. Prices are subject to change and availability up until final payment is received and ticketing is completed.

Late bookings are welcome, but are booked at best available airfare and accommodation rates at time of booking.

60 days prior to departure cancellation fees of 100% will apply. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance when booking this tour.

Granite Belt Wineries and more -  3 day, 2 night Tour


Sit back and relax as we transport you in a luxury Mercedes Benz vehicle through the beautiful Scenic Rim and Southern Queensland Country. This is a short getaway full of pleasant surprises as you sample wines and local produce of the Granite Belt – Australia’s best kept secret of wine regions.


Tour itinerary highlights:-


Friday (Day One)

  • Pick up will be directly from your Brisbane* accommodation.
  • Morning tea stop at Summer Land Camels – Australia’s largest camel dairy and wild camel training centre.
    We then make our way towards Warwick – The City of Roses - taking in the sights of historical buildings as we drive through this picturesque town.
  • Our lunch stop will be at Stanthorpe Cheese and Jersey Girls Café. After your cheese tasting, enjoy a Ploughman's lunch in this relaxed atmosphere.
  • Now, for our first tasting of the weekend at Castle Glen Vineyard, with wines, liqueurs or beer if you prefer.
  • Next stop is Heritage Estate Winery (*) Enjoy the ambience of tasting award-winning wines, surrounded by collectables and antique furniture in front of an open log fire.
  • Indulge your sweet tooth with a visit to Sutton’s Juice Factory Cidery & Café with a slice of their famous apple pie. You may also like to sample the locally produced apple juices and ciders.
  • Accommodation will be at Ridgemill Estate (*) which will be your home nestled amongst the vines, for the weekend. Taste the award-winning wines after you check-in to your king room.
  • Dinner will be a two-course meal at Granite Belt Brewery. Try the local craft beers or sample more local wine or the local apple cider.

Saturday (Day Two)

  • Enjoy a leisurely start with continental breakfast in your room before embarking on a full day of exploring all that the Granite Belt has to offer.
    Be careful not to overindulge today as dinner this evening will be one of the highlights of the weekend!
  • Take a short stroll along picturesque Quart Pot Creek in Stanthorpe before grabbing a coffee-to-go as we start our adventure.
  • The first wine tasting of the day will be at Kominos Wines.
  • Girraween National Park is next for a little light exercise with a walk to Granite Arch. You will also have views of the ‘Pyramid’ along this trail.
  • We couldn’t drive past without stopping at Heavenly Chocolate – the only chocolate shop in the Granite Belt. Enjoy a European hot chocolate or coffee, if you wish, while browsing the range of hand-made chocolates and gourmet goodies.
  • Visit the cellar door of Pyramids Road Wines (*) to sample current release wines. 
  • Symphony Hill Wines (*) will be our lunch stop for the day. Enjoy a platter of locally-prepared produce while sampling their award-winning wines.
  • Golden Grove Estate (*) will be the final cellar door of the day.
  • Return to Ridgemill Estate to prepare for a very special dinner experience this evening.
  • At 6:30pm meet your fellow guests to be transported to our dinner location.
  • A highlight of the weekend, you will enjoy a Seven Course Degustation Dinner paired with wines in the Barrel Room Restaurant at Ballandean Estate Wines. (*)

Sunday (Day Three)

  • Enjoy a leisurely continental breakfast in your room before meeting the rest of the group at 9:00am for a day of exploring the Main Range National Park on our way back to Brisbane.
  • We will make a stop at Sams Farm Fresh Fruit & Veg. Browse the local produce or buy some to take home with you.
  • Morning tea will be at Veronica’s Café in Enjoy a tea or coffee with home-style baked treats.
  • A short drive brings us to Daggs Falls lookout point which provides an impressive view of this 38 metre plunge waterfall. This lookout is close to the roadside.
  • A further 3.5 kilometres along the road we arrive at Queen Mary Falls, which is part of the headwaters of the Condamine River which runs into the Murray-Darling - Australia’s longest river system.  Here you have the choice of two walks to view this spectacular 40 metre  plunge waterfall.  The first is an easy 400 metre from the carpark, which takes you to a lookout at the top of the falls. For the more adventurous, there is the option of a two kilometre return walk to view the falls from creek level. Along the walking track we will see changes in vegetation from the eucalypt-covered ridge top to the rainforest gorge below.
  • Our lunch stop is the nearby Spring Creek Mountain Café. Situated 1,050 metres above sea level, the café overlooks some of Queensland’s finest natural attractions – Condamine George, Wilson’s Peak and the Border Ranges. Choose from the fantastic menu of contemporary Australian cuisine as you relax in the surroundings of this open air café.
  • The quaint country town of Boonah will be a final rest stop on our return to Brisbane.

Drop-off at your Brisbane accommodation will be approximately 5:00 – 5:30 pm depending on traffic conditions on the day.

Lunch on day 2 consists of cheese platters provided at Symphony Hill Estate Winery, in conjunction with wine tasting;

Lunch of day 3 will be at Spring Creek Mountain Café and includes (1) beverage of your choice.

Dinner on day 1 will be at Granite Belt Brewery and will consist of a two-course dinner with a beverage of your choice;

Dinner on day 2 will be a seven-course Degustation menu at The Barrelroom Restaurant, Ballendean Estate, and includes wines paired with each course.
