Option 1 - Wineries and sightseeing

TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN DRIVE "Winery Tour" ITINERARY

Pick up from Brisbane City hotels will be between 8:30 - 8:45 am. We then head south towards the Gold Coast for a day that includes rainforest scenery, waterfalls, wine tasting and shopping.

Our first stop will be at Tea and Niceties for morning tea in a European inspired tea room. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and choose from a selection of freshly baked teacakes, scones or muffins.

You will have the opportunity for a short rainforest walk to Curtis Falls (an easy 500 metre walk from the carpark) or you may prefer to stop at the platform halfway down to spot local birdlife. Total distance is approximately 1.1 km, taking around 30 minutes at a leisurely pace.

We then make our way to Tamborine Mountain Distillery, Australia's most awarded distillery and liquor brand. Sample some of the liqueurs and spirits or browse the unique range of imported giftware, including hand-made Russian artefacts.

We will then drop you off at Gallery Walk, Mt Tamborine's shopping district, where you will have some free time to explore. You'll find everything from art and craft to jewellery to German cuckoo clocks; die cast cars to delicious fudge and chocolates. There are also a number of cellar doors, restaurants and cafes here where you can enjoy a lunch break.

After lunch and some retail therapy, we will make our way to Cedar Creek Estate Winery. Here you can sample boutique wines from the Qld Wine Centre  as well as Cedar Creek Estate -  wines from 10 different wineries all under the one roof. If winery visits and tasting tours are not your thing, you may like to visit the Glow Worm Caves and Frog Hollow or the Arthur Hamblin Art Gallery instead, which are also located here.

Our afternoon tea break will be at Witches Falls Winery & Cellar Door, Mount Tamborine's only working winery. Here you will be treated to wine tours with a difference. The wines you will be sampling have been specially selected for us to pair with a selection of local cheeses from Witches Chase Cheese Company made at the cheese factory on the mountain. You will have the opportunity to sample the wines and cheeses while seated outdoors in the vineyard.

Before heading back to Brisbane, we will stop at a couple of different lookouts for views over both the Scenic Rim and the Gold Coast.

Also see our tours to Byron Bay to have the full South East Queensland experience.
